Hey a Friend of mine (Paynamia/SkyNinja) was Porting the Vortigaunt from Half-Life 2 to Half-Life 1 with its Original Animations.

They are Pretty Much Done but they have a Few Animations that are Missing or Incomplete, so I was Wondering if anyone could Please Finish this by Making more Animations for these Guys?

We don't normally work with retail ports of content. So there might not be a huge willingness to tackle this project.

But it isn't Illegal, Valve allows their Models to be Ported to other Games.
Besides its a Simple Request, its not like I'm asking someone to make a Crysis or Halo Weapon Pack ffs.

I'm not certain about this statement. Owners of Garry's Mod for example have to buy the games to import the content (http://steamcommunity.com/app/4000/discussions/1/864973123323087700 (http://steamcommunity.com/app/4000/discussions/1/864973123323087700)). We're not fine with taking assets from our games (e.g. voice, music, items) and distributing those separately.

Call me cautious but I'm interested to know where your definitive information comes from; many of us here have witnessed suggestions to the contrary.

Looks like valve is cool with porting content, with proper attribution and for non-commercial purposes of course.
As for this particular request: i dont think anyone here can be arsed doing character animations tbh, good luck though

Interesting but:
This is an informal agreement between us and Valve and does not cover uploading said content to any other sites or services.
So one might be limited to Game Banana.

I've always found the HL2 vorts weird when ported to HL1.
Maybe it's the size or something? It just doesn't feel right.
Combos on the other hand though.
