Title: Sterling
Post by: KernCore on November 14, 2017, 04:51:18 PM
I've never seem a Sterling L2A3 model in GoldSrc, and I want to use one for a custom weapon in Sven Co-op (Custom weapon as in Scripted custom entity, with custom animations and so on).

I just need a model for that, animations I'll be using are from Insurgency.

Maybe Firearms mod? It had Sterling SMG. Sadly, i do not own Firearms, but it won't be hard to find it, i hope

By the way, Firearms: Source had Sterling too

So, you're going to have to do a bit of legwork I'm afraid.
http://www.pete.thanez.net/releases/uvs/sterlingl2a3/ Pete never officially released this, but the UVs are there. The textures, at least for the L2A3 parts Somehow are out in the wild now in this http://www.cry-of-fear.com/forum/index.php?topic=5033.0 . I thought I had a copy of the unsized textures somewhere within the labrynthine bowels of a my hard disks, but no. No such luck.

I got this from https://gamebanana.com/skins/122672.
Took a few moments to properly split the UVs instead of resizing the 1024 textures.

Thanks everyone, I decided to go with ZikShadow's model, the only problem is that it's missing the front sight. Nothing I can't fix though.

Many thanks again.

But please note, that ZikShadow's model was scaled non-uniform (or how's that called, it's when the model is scaled not on 3 axes at the same time). If i were you, i'd rather port the FA: S model and then chop the textures myself
