Hey guys, I have a question about transparency in a VTF file.

I've made some custom glass textures in Photoshop which I want to be transparent.  I've given them the settings for the default HL2 glass VMTs, but the textures don't show up as transparent in game.

What am I doing wrong?  Are there some special flags I need to compile my VTF with?
Or should I be setting my layer opacity in PS to 50% or something?

If it helps, I get this little red exclamation mark in the material browser:

Check if there's an opacity map in the alpha channel?

Aha!  It was lacking an opacity channel, adding that seemed to fix the problem.

It's wierd, because I've been able to make other transparent textures without needing to do this.

Cheers Spork :D
