[WON]Half Life's avi format
« on: May 25, 2011, 02:38:19 AM »
Hello, I'm currently stuck on getting this to work right. I've been making a WON menu for Overturn and so far everything has turned out well. The only issue remains however is our logo.avi is not loading correctly. It currently looks like this on the menu:

I'm using VideoMach and 20 8-bit bmps for it. Here is an image of how I render the avi:

Any help is appreciated. Also here is the avi file if you are interested at taking a look at it: http://filesmelt.com/dl/logo1.avi

Assuming the problem is the noisy banner, that might just be because you chose "heavy dithering" instead of none or lite.
Also try un-ticking single palette.

/e Why are you using only 256 colors for the avi? Doesn't support more than that?

No that is not the issue. I tried all three options. Still having the problem.

Works fine in WMP, but gets dicked in VLC.

Try a different codec?

Hmm, well I unchecked reduce to single palette and that seems to still have all that gray noise. There was a program called BMP2AVI but the video turns out too bright.
