Quick & easy guide to texturing with 3DSMax and Photoshop
« on: December 03, 2011, 10:36:46 AM »
As I said in the 56k thread, I wrote up a quick and easy guide to texturing with 3DSMax and Photoshop.

PDF format here:
www.alexvoysey.half-lifecreations.com/Tutorials/The%20quick%20and%20easy%20guide%20to%20texturing%20with%203DSMax%20and%20Photoshop.pdf

What does this entail? Simply to summarize it is a step by step guide for baking a phototexture onto an unwrap - the idea being that this phototextured unwrap aides your texturing in Photoshop.

Hopefully people will find this useful - feedback would be appreciated since I'm sticking this on my portfolio (amongst other things!)

Not meaning to necropost, but I was wondering if you still have this tutorial available? Would love to read up on this since UVmapping and texturing in 3Ds Max is my weakest area.

Well I didn't do the geo, so :v:.
And if I did, I would've modeled fucking everything.
