Personally intrigued. Making Rising's plot canon to the main Metal Gear Universe has some interesting possibilities. At the very least,1980's Big Boss is for certain the best looking of the Snake/Bosses.

Also that thing from the Dark Knight about living long enough to become the villain, I think that's Big Boss's endgame.

I am super interested by this, Kojima can do plenty with Big Boss to establish the legendary status he's supposed to have; that and there isn't anything more he can do with Solid Snake (unless if he remakes the MSX titles).

Also I love the whole retro setting, the 80s are a criminally underused decade for games.
