Can someone convert to .3ds or .obj
« on: December 15, 2012, 08:48:29 PM »
I've got someone interested in working on some characters for Ničija zemlja but they need a base model to work with, so can someone covert the Paranoia alpha soldier to .3ds or .obj format please?

Anyone? I really need this sorting so that they can get on with some modelling, I've attatched the model which I would have done before had I been on the right machine.

Here's some examples of their work;

As you can see, I must snap this guy up!

Looks like he does some nice modelling work (the textures all look phototex?), if I get time I'll convert them for you.

A quicker suggestion is to point him to the 3DS Max SMD importer http://www.wunderboy.org/download.php?file=3dsmax_smd_importer_v1.0.zip&s=2
It's kind of a pain to set it up, but it's much better than MS3D importing.

Thanks for that link Alex, I'll let them know. Yeah they're not the best but I'll probably do the skins so I wouldn't worry ;)

Merci, Simon!
