[HL1] MP5-SD UVmapjob and retexture
« on: September 26, 2014, 06:18:45 PM »
I'm not quite satisfied with how this turned out once again, but that's what I get for using the default textures created by Valve for my MP5-SD. I think the model looks great but I don't like how I had to lay out the UVmap and the texture kinda sucks on this thing. I know it's somewhat a lot to ask for but could someone maybe retexture this along with remapping it to use space on the texture map a little better?

Could just "hack" it onto a different, better texture?

I could, but I'm aiming for something that looks like it would fit in stylistically with the rest of the weapons.

EDIT: What I mean is that any other MP5 textures I've seen are way too different stylistically from the HD pack weapons, which would look strange.

Myeah I guess, that era of oldskool texturing is long gone though. Think Stoke's textures would be your best bet, just play with the contrast and such.
