[HLMV] New Model Viewer, crazy right?

Has lots of new features too, many of which were previously only available once the model was decompiled. There is a full list of features and screenshots on the website above.

Oh, and it works in Windows 10. :2pro:

Hmm, sounds interesting, new Jed's broken for me, so this should be a nice proper replacement.

A bit confused though, i'm trying to make the sound files play during events (with little success), old HLMV had a "Set Sound Folder" where you just point at the mod used sound folder, this one uses the game configurations thing, which i haven't managed to correctly use yet.

Yes, some of the extra features seem a bit cumbersome, but it is nice to have a tool that is a bit more stable and less resource heavy on newer operating systems.

Plus, it doesn't do the thing in Jed's where you have to quit the darn thing in Task Manager everytime!
I guess i can try getting used to the features, with enough time.

This is pretty neat, but the animation playback is pretty choppy for some reason.

No, not yet unfortunately.

Been having another iffy.

The default (without fullscreen) weapon view seems to be a tiny bit different from how ingame looked, kinda screws with perception unless you test the fullscreen constantly (the old bar blocks the view, sure, but atleast what you see is what you get).

Set it to the sounds folder itself, so  C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life\valve_addon\sound
That worked for me.

Not fully sure what you mean. The origins differ slightly (think that's the case with jhlmv as well), but i think that's because of the way v_ models move across the screen. If you aim down the positions do match up.

Not fully sure what you mean. The origins differ slightly (think that's the case with jhlmv as well), but i think that's because of the way v_ models move across the screen. If you aim down the positions do match up.

Ah, now i see.
It goes for the furthest origin point (looking down) instead of the middle one.

Guess i was mistaken then.

Makes sense, back in the day we would reorigin using Jed's to create iron sight models and it was pretty reliable.

Depending on the OS you are running, this is more stable. Open Jed's a few times on newer OS's and watch your CPU usage go up as it doesn't terminate properly.

He has updated it today, it only fixess the frame rate quirk for now. It looks like he is very much open to input, so if you have any grievances id suggest you report that shit to him. Probably the last leet thing to come out for goldsrc in the near future. Make it count  :cop:

Several updates have been made in the past few days such as higher texture support (XASH&Sven) view distance , and PS2 .dol format, check the changelogs for full info:
