because like most of us, I never bought a Dreamcast :P.
Still have mine
Is it true that the games on it are some of the best ever made?

Do you have Chu Chu Rocket, or Soul Calibur? I remember playing the shit out of those when a friend brought his Dreamcast here.

I have Chu Chu Rocket on GBA, that game is slightly cash.  Does become a real mindfuck on the later levels though :P

I haven't played anything after Soul Blade on PS1 :X

NHL 12 glitch found already!!!

is this guy a comedy dude or is he real, I kinda know he's not a comedy guy but you now what they say; don't stop believein'!

He's dead fucking serious.

He's also the "Tide goes in, tide goes out. Never a miscommunication. You canít explain that," guy, in addition to being a whiny prick threatening to ragequit his job if the top marginal tax rate goes up to 50% because he has no fucking idea how progressive taxes work. In short, he's your standard Fox news guy. :joebiden:

I really can't understand why this whole "class warfare" shit is going on. The vast majority of the country's population is headed downhill while the rich just keep getting richer. I had a hard time understanding why conservatives paint the picture of the vulnerable millionaire losing his or her money. Oh, well boo-fucking-hoo. It's almost as if these people have absolutely no empathy whatsoever, it really pisses me off.

E/ Some other "comedians" you should research on, Anton: Look out for Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.

Poor aren't getting poorer, the middle class is able to afford now more than they ever have. How many 'poor' people do you know with cell phones?
Thousands upon thousands of things have gone down in price, percentage wise. Example: airline tickets. They've gone down over 95% in the past few decades.

But yes, Bill O'Reilly is a fucking idiot.
TV shows are built more for entertainment, as such they're not something you should take seriously.

We just need more tax breaks and fewer regulations for the trickle down to finally start, guys! We promise! Just ignore the past 35 years of utterly failed supply-side economics! Well, that and 35 years of 'prudent economic policy' that was really just class warfare on anyone not in the upper percentiles; gotta love it how it's 'class warfare' only when those dirty peasants who didn't bootstrap hard enough do it.

Poor aren't getting poorer, the middle class is able to afford now more than they ever have. How many 'poor' people do you know with cell phones?

Next thing you'll know you'll mention the 50% of poor families with a microwave. Try another argument that's not utterly fucking retarded from every angle, because "WAAAAH THEY'RE NOT REALLY POOR EVEN THOUGH THEY'RE ONLY JUST BARELY SCRAPING BY AND CAN'T AFFORD EVEN THE SLIGHTEST ACCIDENT BECAUSE THEY HAVE A DIRT CHEAP CELLPHONE" is just that. But it's okay, the poor aren't poor as long as they're either not on the street or living in shanties made of sticks.

Let's also ignore that real wages have fallen a fair bit in the past 30 years while things like food, healthcare (in before government regulation), shelter, transport, and all the other aspects of daily life that people actually need have actually increased in cost substantially; gotta rationalize it away with $10 cell phones and cheap coffee machines.

At the very least pretend to understand something beyond extremely localized issues that are irrelevant for the whole poor/not poor dynamic in modern society. It's utter bullshit like that that's part of why my generation's going to wind up being known as the second lost generation; thanks for shifting so far to the right that Nixon's more liberal than the majority of our 'liberal' party, America!

In a less 'look at Fachiri be utterly pissed off at the state of American politics and the general population's views on major issues and how far they've nose-dived since she was a child' tone:

Well stated. People like Michelle Bachmann are pushing agendas of taxing the poor more, and yet do not understand that they don't have money to give in the first place because they are poor. I seriously can't believe Fox News was making all those statistics of how poor people have refrigerators and cell phones, and somehow implying that because they have these necessities they have enough money to give the government. It's time for the rich people of this country, including major corporations like General Electric, to give their fair share of taxes. But, Obama is likely not to given all the shitter Wall Street folk in office currently. Plus, I find it funny that the CEO of General Electric was standing behind Obama during his economy restructuring speeches. America is going down a shithole.

GE at least did their whole 'pay no taxes' crap via the ridiculous amount of tax credits/subsidies the government gives out to companies that make a serious effort towards green energy. I still find it utterly moronic given the state of things, but I prefer the money going to greener forms of energy rather than the even more massive amount of money being pumped into oil and corn subsidies.

Also, the whole definition of the poverty line is pretty moronic. I literally could not pay rent in the area I live if I were even close to the $11,000/year income line to be legally in poverty with all my money put together, let alone feed a family of four for the $22,000/year required for that one. Meanwhile, Australia avoided the brunt of the recession by actually regulating their banks and just raised their minimum wage to $15.51/hour, has a similar cost of living as over here in the US, has universal healthcare, maintains low unemployment and is doing utterly awesome, but all that's socialism.

On the plus side, at least Congress decided to unfuck themselves and at least pass Net Neutrality. I can't wait to see what kind of loopholes they left for ISPs to screw over their customers, though.

I didn't have time to make my point earlier, but fact is, the poor of today are much better off than people of any decade previous.
They shouldn't have their taxes raised.
And neither should the rich, it won't make much of a dent in the debt at all.
Why should the rich pay more? They should pay the same percentage as everyone else.
I don't understand the logic of being punished for success.
At what point is someone rich, anyway? When they make a million dollars? $500,000? over $200,000? $40,000?
Social Security (which is fine but shouldn't be as huge as it is, it's a ponzi scheme) will run out by 2037, likely.

You're talking about monetarily, yes? In actual dollars cost, yes, they have gone up.
But the middle class has grown substantially, while the poor section has shrunk immensely.
Costs have gone up, yet things have become more affordable to the majority.

corn subsidies.

Ethanol is so fucking inefficient it hurts my brain.
Same with wind energy, the majority of the time.

It makes me very nervous that you share many views with Rick Perry.  Jacob, it so happens that many rich individuals and corporation CEOs are well overpaid and not only receive a ridiculous salary, but more importantly attain tax exemption from the government. Ever heard of the iron triangle in corporate crime cases? The current administration does not want to punish success, they want to retain a balance that has gone far haywire. Right now, given what rich people get, they are not paying enough if you take their percentage of their earnings and compare that to a middle-class citizen. This disparity is unacceptable.

E/

Did some research. See attached file.

Take careful attention to $200,000 to $10,000,000 columns. Look at the percentage of the population they encompass, and look at how many tax returns they transacted. Observe the percentage of total income tax column. This is the problem.

That pretty much put to the "people to kick in the private" list, what I was trying to say in a total dickish way is the problem isn't coming from the regular target that are the big company and their leader, when everyone could agree on nailling on a cross people from the fed and other big private banks

That would be the real problem if the Fed wasn't totally independent form the political government running totally on it's own and representing private banks from all around the occidental world  :coolbiden:

That pretty much describes the entire US Government of the past 35 years, even moreso since the Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission case last year meaning they don't even have to try and hide it anymore.

Problem is we're stuck with Bernake until 2014 and the DoJ's lawsuit against the major banks will only recoup a tiny fraction of what we gave them in 2008 with no strings attached while also not fixing the fact that the government agency responsible for regulating them is literally in the major bank's pockets. Also lol, going from 30 to 4 major banks in the country because politicians are so far to the right/in the banker's pockets that no one decided to lay down a good ol' anti-trust lawsuit. Hell, the one the DoJ filed against AT&T is only...10 years too late this time and will probably only block the AT&T-TMobile merger rather than breaking AT&T up into its individual companies like they did in the 80s. Shit be fucked, yo.

The funniest part is that they don't pay taxes, zero, and they don't even have to try, it's null by the law  :daza:

Also just read Erebus arguments, let's do this:

I didn't have time to make my point earlier, but fact is, the poor of today are much better off than people of any decade previous.
Like everyone else, except that for the richer that progress goes way faster. Poor and rich are simply time and society related, they are simply defined by the bottom and the top of the chart, problem is the relative difference between them is growing bigger, hence the usually used stupid oversimplified argument " poor are getting poorer"

And neither should the rich, it won't make much of a dent in the debt at all.
Why should the rich pay more? They should pay the same percentage as everyone else.
I don't understand the logic of being punished for success.
Except that the said debt has gone bigger because of tax evasion of the richer, it's only fair to balance that out by taxing them more and suppressing tax evasion which is also called 'tax raising' (oversimplified  stupid argument again)

At what point is someone rich, anyway? When they make a million dollars? $500,000? over $200,000? $40,000?
Again top of the chart, plus oversimplification again of the whole problem, it isn't about taxing the rich, it's about taxing the richer depending on how richer they are compared to the rest

Social Security (which is fine but shouldn't be as huge as it is, it's a ponzi scheme) will run out by 2037, likely.
Since when does helping people imply making money out of it

But the middle class has grown substantially, while the poor section has shrunk immensely.
Yeah if you use 1950's charts

Ethanol is so fucking inefficient it hurts my brain.
Hangover dude

EDIT: Just noticed that :

I need more whiskey, tbh. Been wanting some for a few weeks now but all we have in the house that I can even stomach is Absolut, which is shit-tier vodka that's just not enjoyable to drink unless it's diluted to hell and back.

Need to go grab my giant bottle of not-terrible vodka from my ex' this weekend.
