No jokes neither april fools, i'm really back into HL/SC business. And heres some easter surprises, one week later as allways:


Romka's gonna kill me for this one.


This is the Hgrunt "v5" (fetching for the 5th version of Romka's hgrunt). This model only been released on source, and i though it was sad to restrict such an awesome model to the Goldsource community.

The model is finger/eye/mouth rigged, totally fit/works on the Half-Life and Svencoop animations. I've cut 1024x1024 textures to separate them into 512x512 and lower textures (The original textures quality is not changing).
I resized/reworked some parts of the model so it really fits on the HL1 animations (such as the eyes, legs and the arms).
I only finished the gazmask head, but i'm gonna do the next ones in a near future. (I will maybe put new heads instead the HL² ones romka used for its hgrunts).
Anyway, the current status of the Svencoop hgrunts is showed up there on the pic. I'm still fighting against the old HL .qc files to make the skin color and the different weapons working.
The thread will be updated with new pics and screenshots once I had the time to work on the models.

Yeah i'm glad to be there too, the forums looked a bit dead so here i came! I hope that the some models i'm gonna release will attract more people around the "reply" button.

BTW: Greer, sorry man but you are gonna wait until the release to get those. I'm sure you're not the only one that begged to have them rigged to goldsource, once its finished i will have to deal with Romka for the release. So hang on ;D

Not bad.  You should overlay the normal maps to give the impression of wrinkles, because the plain diffuse maps look pretty flat.

Also the eye textures look pretty wierd.  Try getting a phototexture, I'm pretty sure no one has eyes as black as Fred Flintstone :P

The models are looking good! The only complaint I have is that the texture on the camo seems a bit bland. Perhaps add a hint of a cloth texture to it?

Those are the original textures and i'm keeping their original look. I've cut and keeped the original size of the source textures so anybody can pimp the hgrunts if they want to.
