In the last two podcasts, near the end of the live stream, the audio and video stream suddenly stops, and starts to show the colour bars thing of Mogulus.
Alright, so why this is happening? I'm not saying "lol, Podcats 17 suxxx, fail", just want to know the reasons, cause you guys just say "Hold on, we are fixing it" and then "We can't do anything about it".
Just explain to your listeners.

It would appear that it or the PC we use to stream does not like going for such a long time constantly streaming data. I think the problem lies with Mogulus, but we will have to look into it. Currently it only happens when the shows go over an 1hr and 20-30mins.

In our defense, last week we Thomas actually was working on it. And this week I said something along the lines of "Thomas is afk so there's nothing we can do". William then said hold on for some reason, which I'm not sure of.

You are still correct though and it should have been handled much better. For example, I should have re-clarified that there was nothing we could do after William said hold on. I could also have stayed to ensure the message was received by all instead of going off to eat.

So, on behalf of myself and William. I would like to apologize to anyone present during the last few live streams for any problems or wasting of your time for reasons which could have been averted through our own action.

I would also apologize for Emanuel, but he's apparently a spartan. So an apology from him would come in the form of kicking you all into a dark pit. Which would be bad, and probably a little bit illegal.

Now, to answer your question as fully as I can:

On both occasions the stream appears to have either overloaded Thomas' netbook or internet connection. (probably due to Skype as much as the actual stream, as it seems to have a few known issues on low end laptops)

Last week I think the stream was left off because we were already in the process of closing the show, but I'm not certain.
This week Thomas was afk, probably due to his
man cold
, so there was nothing we could do to re-initiate the stream.

Thanks to Thomas for getting up and taking the time to start the stream in the first place despite the illness and stuff.

Most of them probably don't read the forums so I'll extend this to the actual posting of the episode too.

Thanks Nic and Thomas.
Its a good thing to see the Podcast 17 staff actually cares about the people who listen to the show.

I would also like to apologize for the cutting stream each week. As Nick said, Thomas went AFK towards the end and was unable to tend to the live stream. It is very difficult for myself or Emanuel to manage the stream while doing the Podcast... I'm the type of person who can't rub my tummy and pat my head at the same time.

In the future I will be handling the Live stream on my own netbook (as soon as I get it) so this might fix the problem if it is directly related to Thomas' PC. I was also thinking of getting some external help to tunnel the live stream to the mogulus room. I feel bad enough that Thomas was stuck with this duty.

I apologize for saying hold on, but I was under the impression that Thomas would be returning shortly - which is why I said hold on. I didn't want anyone to leave the chat room and miss the post-game session. And to clarify, yes, this week we were closing up the show. I think the live listeners missed the final 8 mins of the show.

Once again thank you Thomas for tending to the live stream and even coming online during your illness.
